Recent research carried out in Germany and America shows that IVF Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine treatment can increase the likelihood of conception, by improving the thickness of the uterine lining and the quality of the eggs.
With In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF ) alone, women have a 1 in 4 chance of falling pregnant. By combing IVF Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, the chances of conception can increase to between 65 and 85 per cent (Acupuncture Benefits IVF fertility up to 65% - British Medical Journal 2008).
IVF Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can also be effective in treating the side effects of IVF, such as bloating, anxiety, headaches, etc. Both treatments are particularly effective during the first IVF cycle, which can be an extremely stressful and uncomfortable experience for women.

"The good news of the Acupuncture use in fertility therapy is [that] the benefit is not affected by age, meaning all age groups showed the increase in IVF success rates from the IVF Acupuncture therapy," said Dr Smith (‘Acupuncture Benefits IVF Fertility’, 3rd May 2006, the University of Adelaide: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/news/news11641.html)
